Doug Zeller was an outstanding agent for my first time home buying experience. He was very knowledgeable about the process, was honest, and was always available to help with any issue we had. One of the cool things about using Doug was when I met the seller he told me that one reason he chose our offer was because his agent had said, "I looked this broker [Doug] up and his license is older than mine, so it should be a smooth transaction." Another helpful aspect of Doug is his wealth of knowledge on the area when it comes to finding trustworthy local contractors to make inspections and repairs. My husband and I have had the privilege to have Doug Zeller as our realtor on two different occasions. We first met Doug as first time home buyers nearly 20 years ago. Doug was very knowledgeable and supportive as we navigated through that process. When we decided to sell our home 12 years later, we didn't think twice about asking Doug to list our home. It was really unfortunate that Doug and Nicole found us our dream home, and we ended up paying way less than we thought we would because of their negotiating, because now I don't feel like i can text them at any time of the day. We had an amazing buying experience. This was our first home purchase and we had no idea what we were doing. Dougs reccomondation of an honest and helpful lender was invaluable. On top of his experience, knowing which houses would be more work than they would he worth. And being able to point out half hearted craftmanship that was clearly trying to distract from underlying issues. Even in this crazy market, they did not let us settle on a dump so they could just get paid. If you want to have a good time buying your first home call them.

Working with Doug and Nicole was one of the best experiences ever! My wife and I recently sold our house and joining their team was a blast! Doug may just be the most positive person I have ever met, and his contagious attitude had a positive impact for us throughout the experience. We will be forever grateful for this team’s diligence, hard work, honesty, and just keeping us sane during the whole process.

After his initial visit with us, Doug recommended that before we list, we postpone until everything was ready, even if this meant waiting a few extra months. Living in the semi-rural area, he suggested that we take care of the many inspections that would be needed ahead of time, and address any issues that those could potentially bring up. We started making our calls and within 6 weeks were able to list our home with clear reports for termite, septic, well, and roof. As a bonus for living in California near trees, we also needed a Defensible Space certification from CAL Fire.  Being able to show an interested buyer these documents meant that questions were easily answered and also helped with a faster close.  I think Doug’s initial advice added value as seen by the number of visits and offers we had immediately after putting the house on the market.

Having never sold a home before, we did not know what to expect.  This made joining team Zeller that much more fun since they have been doing it for so long. Those years of experience made it obvious how much they love what they do and how good they are at. They created a feeling of teamwork from the beginning and I decided to make a group on my phone called ‘Home Team’ – it was always comforting to send and receive updates under this heading – we truly were a team! Doug and Nicole kept us in the loop every step of the way.  There was constant encouragement and answers to each and every one of our questions, and the memes and gifs added to the joy!

If you are looking to list your home, I would HIGHLY recommend the Zellers. Hands down, you will get way more out of it than what you put in. These two are always there when you need them – which is very often when you’re trying to sell your place! If we were not moving out of state, I would also have them help us find the next home, and hopefully that tells you something!
